Once again Channel 5 refers to a criminal as a teen and fails to reveal his prior arrest record. WCSC really needs to re-think that editorial policy.
"Isaac Smith" was arrested by CPD and charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. We all know the routine by now. This wasn't Smith's first arrest. He has ties to Walterboro and West Ashley.
In July of 2011 Smith was arrested in Colleton County for providing false information to a law enforcement officer. He was found guilty and sentenced to a fine or time.
In August of 2011 Smith was charged in Charleston County with Possession of Cocaine. The charge was dismissed at the preliminary hearing.
In December of 2011 Smith was charged with PWID Narcotics. The charge was dismissed by the 9th Circuit Solicitor three months later.
Two days after the PWID charge was dismissed Smith was charged with Forgery. He was given a $2000 bond by judge Bligen. This charge is still pending.
Maybe this time they can keep him locked down and the charges will stick.
