CPD, with the assistance of CCSO, were diving in the pond near Ardmore in search of evidence.
Great. We hate to be critical since we are not privy to the decision making process there, but readers have been leaving comments all over the internet about that pond since the day after the murder of Marley Lion.
We had an interesting conversation with a retired police detective while eating lunch today. He told us these thugs rarely ditch a weapon in a place where they can't go back and recover it. Even if the hood is being pursued by law enforcement he will try to dump his firearm where the cops won't find it, but he or a confederate can go back and retrieve it. Quite often they will immediately pass it off to a fellow thug who will disappear with it while police are concentrating on the offender.
Regular readers will remember the case of Shabazz Akeem Rainey shooting at a repossession agent at the Masters Inn. Rainey told officer he dumped the firearm in a trash can, but officers were unable to locate it. Everyone knows Rainey passed that firearm to fellow thug who stashed it where it wouldn't be found by authorities.
They're searching another pond & have the roads blocked off today.
