NASCAR columnist Jerry Bonkowski decided to show Charleston residents how to "Stand Up" like Mayor Riley suggested back in June when he was giving press conferences about "new" laws being proposed - except those law have been on the books since, oh, forever. But enough about King Joe.
Bonkowski stepped in and assisted a CPD officer in subduing a thief caught breaking into vehicles at the Harris Teeter on Folly Road. Too bad Jerry didn't get a chance to demonstrate that "bonk" part of his surname and land a few shots to the face of the maggot. Just saying.
