A citizen pointed us to this video of an armed robbery incident on 31 October, 2011 in Wichita. Three thugs were robbing a Dollar General store. Police arrived within sixty seconds. When the first officer made entry, thug Dejuan Colbert charged the officer while armed with a knife and a bag of cash. Watch for yourself what happened.

*Note to Geraldine - may want to let all the other kids I'm sure exist that you "help raise" know that armed robbery is against the law. Also, let them know it's not smart to charge at/toward/near a LEO with a weapon. It will rarely end well.

ReplyDeleteBob white... I thought the same thing, but you know what really breaks it down is the fact he was commiting a very serious crime. I believe anyone who can commit armed robbery with a deadly weapon is fair game to shoot and kill. Probably why I am not a police officer! I have zero tolerance for this shit. These other two thugs are probably already out of jail and ready to commit more crimes. There were a lot of shots fired (safety of others) was my concern. But I am all for shooting all 3 of those guys. saves money from feeding them in jail, and hearing their bullshit lies and excuses.
ReplyDeleteI believe in being thorough so I would have been fine if they reloaded and emptied those clips in him too. In all seriousness, given the chaos, the LEO's acted accordingly.

I watched it twice. It's a good shoot. I note that the first officer fired twice and the bad guy kept right on running and didn't drop until he was through the door. It isn't like that in the movies.
